Here are two friendly faces that you may have seen around our office lately. We have Hilary, one of our new hygienists on the left and Terri, our newest insurance coordinator on the right. Come by and say hello!

We are so excited to welcome Mara!

It has been an exciting week with lots of changes! We said goodbye to our wonderful assistant Laura and we wish her the very best. Carmen is officially off on her maternity leave and we have welcomed a new addition to the team. We are excited to introduce you to our newest dental hygienist - Mara H., RDH, BS.

Brush & Floss!

The Academy of General dentistry states that the average person only brushes their teeth for 45 to 70 seconds. The recommended amount of time is 2-3 minutes! Take your time and don’t forget to floss!

In honor of Shark Week

Did you know that sharks have approximately 3,000 teeth, separated into 5 rows at any given time? And because sharks lose 1 to 2 teeth per meal, which then grow right back, a shark may use more than 20,000 teeth in a life time!

Carmen is getting hitched!

Today our wonderful assistant Carmen is getting MARRIED.  She has been with Progressive Dental Group for 10 years!  We all wish her and Mathew the best. 

OUR NEW SIGN!!

We have FINALLY gotten our signage up and couldn't be happier.   Here are a few pictures of the progress.  We are thankful and appreciative for everyone's hardwork on the sign!

February is National Children's Dental Health Month

This month is used to raise children and parents awareness of the importance of developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children understand the importance of a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

Pediatricians recommend taking your child in for their first dental visit when they get their first tooth.  If the child can sit through an exam and cleaning, the doctor will start treating them immediatly. In most cases the child can benefit the greatest from observing another sibling or parent being treated.  This can help the child become comfortable and accustomed to being at the dental office and make their first exam and cleaning a better experience.


According to the American Academy of Petiatric Dentists, Sealants are an effective method of cavity prevention, especially children with a history of tooth decay.  Sealants can be one of the most cost-effective methods for preventing cavities.


Sealant-refers to a clear or shaded composite material placed in the pits and grooves of children’s teeth to prevent decay. The dentist applies this invisible protector by drying and conditioning the teeth, painting on the sealant and then allowing it to harden.
